Scholorship Program
INTRODUCTION:
In 1998, Sindhi Association of North America (SANA) established an educational fund to pay tribute to late Dr. Feroz Ahmed, a prominent Sindhi social scientist and educationist. Through Dr. Feroz Ahmed Memorial Educational (FAME) scholarships Program, SANA provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to exceptional Sindhi students in their pursuit of undergraduate and post graduate studies at any university in Pakistan.
Based on the collection of funds, each year SANA awards several scholarships to meritorious and needy Sindhi students in Sindh.
For the academic year 2009-2010, SANA FAME Scholarships Program will confer the following awards:
For the academic year 2009-20010,
our target is award of 80 Scholarships.
1. Fifty Six (56) scholarships for Undergraduate Studies in
Sciences. Each $250.00
2. Six (6) scholarships for Post-graduate
Studies in Social Sciences and Humanities. Each $500.00
3. Six (6) scholarships for Undergraduate
Studies with major in Sindhi Language, Sindhi Literature,
Sindh History, etc. Each $250.00
4. Four (4) scholarships for Post-graduate
Studies in Sindhi Language, Sindhi Literature, Sindh History,
etc. $500.00 each.
5. Eight (8) scholarships of $250.00
each for students of Nursing Colleges.
PURPOSE:
To financially support the education of Eighty (80) meritorious
Sindhi students who are pursuing education at universities/colleges
in Pakistan.

THE
TASK:
To invite and review applications and grant scholarships
to the selected deserving students.
THE PROGRAM:
1. December 22 through January 10, 2010 - Notification about
invitation of application through SANALIST, posting on various
Sindhi on-line organizations, Mehran TV (the Hyderabad based
sindhi based lists, Mehran TV, and through local Newspapers in Sindh.
2. April 10, 2010 - Last date for receiving applications.
3. May 20, 2010 - Announcement about award of scholarships.
Selected students will be notified and scholarships will
be awarded.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Application forms are available on the above mentioned websites as well.
2. Applicants must attach the copies of the documents identified
on the application form.
2. For those who are not able to get access to the above
website, please write e-mail at the above e-mail address
and the application will be sent attached with e-mail.
3. In case some one has already applied and forwarded applications
with proper attachments need not to apply again. Applications
already received and received onwards will automatically
enter in the process.
4. Application form filled properly and with all required
attachments to be forwarded at the above address via regular
mail. PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD YOUR APPLICATION THROUGH REGISTERED
MAIL
